We are quickly approaching the house build and I am so pleased with how hard everyone is working on learning perimeter and area of all the different polygons and triangles. Remember, I will be asking you to find area and perimeter of all polygons in your house and will want to know the value of the missing angle for each of your triangles.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
4 Different Polygons (Not a triangle please)
3 Different Triangles
3 Different Non-polygons.
SCHEDULE:
This week we finish lessons on finding angles in triangles and quadralaterals; finding circumference of circle, and will have a review on area and perimeter.
Friday we will have time to work on individual drawings. Friday December 14 is the last day for quarter grades- progress reports will go out December 17.
Monday December 17- groups of three choose the building they will make, find area, perimeter etc. of their building, and start building.
Tuesday December 18- finish building- Take pictures
Wednesday December 19- EAT, check out the pictures and comments on the blog, and identify shapes.
Thursday December 20- Check the blog and Re-visit one- step equations
Friday December 21- Check the blog and review one step equations.
January 2013 we will be diving into solving linear equations.
